I'm getting increasingly tired of Adobe's slow-to-use Reader software which is the standard for reading PDF documents. It's bloated with everything from extensions to plugins which mean it takes ages to open documents.
Abdio PDF Reader is a simple PDF reader designed to make reading PDF's as simple and quick as possible. The program enables you to zoom, search, select text and copy it to the clipboard as well as shortcuts to allows you to send documents by e-mail, to a printer, fax and so on. The program is lacking in the kind of options you will be used to in Adobe Reader but the point is that it's cut down on the components to speed up the viewing process. The only drawback is that there is no Firefox or IE plugin for this program meaning that to open PDF's within a browser, you'll still have to ise Adobe. However, if you're happy to open it outside a browser, you can set it as Firefox's default browser.
A welcome addition to the PDF reading software options but would have scored better with a browser plugin.
